Rebec RPX-B12S 12-Channel DSP Amplifier
Product Overview
The Rebec RPX-B12S is a high-performance integrated DSP amplifier from the RPX-B Series, combining a 12-channel digital signal processor with twelve channels of Class D amplification in a single chassis. Developed for advanced active car audio systems, the RPX-B12S expands upon the RPX-B1012 by providing additional amplifier channels, significantly higher output power, and an upgraded digital audio platform.
With 100W RMS available on every amplifier channel, the RPX-B12S is designed to drive complete active speaker systems while maintaining the installation simplicity of an all-in-one DSP amplifier.

Advanced DSP Platform
The Rebec RPX-B12S utilizes a 12-channel DSP architecture built around the Analog Devices ADAU1463 processor. Compared with earlier RPX-B models, this platform provides the processing capability required for more complex multi-channel audio systems.
The processor supports twelve RCA outputs, allowing flexible signal routing for fully active systems or future expansion with external amplifiers.
DSP parameters are configured using PC tuning software, enabling detailed adjustment of crossover settings, equalization, delay, and other processing functions.
Digital Connectivity
The RPX-B12S supports a comprehensive range of digital and analog audio sources.
Optical (Toslink) and Coaxial inputs accept digital audio signals up to 192kHz, while USB Audio 2.0 provides direct digital playback from compatible devices.
Unlike earlier RPX-B models with integrated wireless connectivity, the RPX-B12S is designed to support an external Bluetooth module, allowing installers to add wireless audio capability according to system requirements.
The processor also incorporates twelve high-level inputs and two low-level RCA inputs, making it compatible with both factory-installed and aftermarket head units.
High-Power Class D Amplification
A key characteristic of the Rebec RPX-B12S is its integrated 12-channel Class D amplifier.
Each amplifier channel delivers 100W RMS at 4Ω, allowing the unit to power a complete active speaker system without relying on multiple external amplifiers.
For applications requiring higher output, the amplifier also supports bridge operation, providing up to 200W RMS across six bridged channels, offering additional flexibility for speakers requiring greater power.
This high-output amplifier platform distinguishes the RPX-B12S from the RPX-B1012 by delivering both more amplifier channels and significantly greater output capability.
Audio Processing Hardware
The Rebec RPX-B12S incorporates dedicated audio components throughout the signal path.
Digital processing is handled by the ADAU1463 DSP processor, while digital-to-analog conversion is performed by the AK4438 DAC. Analog input signals are processed through the PCM1840 ADC before entering the DSP stage.
This hardware architecture enables high-resolution digital processing together with accurate conversion between analog and digital domains.
Sound Performance
The RPX-B12S is designed to provide high-resolution sound reproduction together with flexible system tuning.
Its integrated 31-band equalizer allows detailed adjustment of frequency response, enabling the audio system to be optimized for different vehicle environments and loudspeaker configurations.
Combined with upgraded DSP hardware and dedicated audio conversion components, the RPX-B12S is designed to preserve musical detail while supporting accurate and consistent signal processing throughout the system.
Flexible System Configuration
The RPX-B12S is designed for more advanced active speaker systems requiring both additional amplifier channels and increased output power.
According to its intended application, the processor is well suited for:
• 3-way front active systems
• 2-way rear active systems
Compared with the RPX-B1012, the RPX-B12S provides higher amplifier output while maintaining the same 12-channel DSP architecture. This allows larger speaker systems to be powered directly by the integrated amplifier without increasing installation complexity.
The twelve RCA outputs also provide the flexibility to integrate additional amplifiers whenever future system expansion is required.
Product Positioning
Within the RPX-B Series, the RPX-B12S is positioned above the RPX-B1012 by combining twelve channels of Class D amplification with substantially higher output power and an upgraded DSP platform.
Its enhanced processing hardware, increased amplifier capability, and flexible system configuration make it a suitable solution for users building advanced active car audio systems while retaining the convenience of an integrated DSP amplifier.
Design Philosophy
The Rebec RPX-B12S was developed to provide a complete DSP amplifier solution for complex multi-channel audio systems.
By integrating a 12-channel DSP platform, twelve channels of high-power Class D amplification, modern digital connectivity, and comprehensive tuning capability into a single unit, the RPX-B12S delivers a flexible platform capable of supporting sophisticated active system designs with reduced installation complexity.
