Product Overview

The Rebec RPX-B480 is an entry-level DSP amplifier in Rebec’s car audio lineup, combining digital signal processing with four channels of Class AB amplification in a compact unit.

Designed as an accessible starting point for DSP-based car audio upgrades, the Rebec RPX-B480 supports both factory and aftermarket source integration while providing PC and App tuning. Built-in Bluetooth 5.4, USB Audio 2.0, Optical, Coaxial, high-level, and low-level inputs provide flexible connectivity for different source configurations.

Integrated Class AB Amplification

The RPX-B480 incorporates four channels of Class AB amplification based on the TDA7851 power amplifier IC.

At 4Ω, the amplifier delivers 25W RMS × 4 channels, increasing to 40W RMS × 4 channels at 2Ω.

This integrated amplifier section allows the RPX-B480 to directly power a four-channel speaker system without requiring a separate power amplifier, keeping the installation relatively simple and compact.

DSP Processing and System Tuning

Digital signal processing is handled by the AP1821 DSP processor with a sampling frequency of 48kHz. The audio architecture also incorporates a CS4344 DAC and ES7210 ADC for digital-to-analog and analog-to-digital conversion.

System tuning can be performed through either PC or App, allowing the audio system to be adjusted according to its speaker layout and installation.

In addition to the four built-in amplifier channels, the RPX-B480 provides eight low-level outputs at 2.35V. These processed outputs allow external amplifiers to be added when additional amplification is required, providing a practical path for future system expansion.

Flexible Source Connectivity

The RPX-B480 provides several connection options for different car audio sources.

Four high-level inputs supporting signals up to 26Vpp allow integration with factory head units and OEM audio systems. Two low-level inputs supporting up to 6Vpp are also available for compatible source units.

For digital audio, the Rebec RPX-B480 includes both Optical (Toslink) and Coaxial inputs supporting up to 96kHz. USB Audio 2.0 provides another digital connection option, while built-in Bluetooth 5.4 enables convenient wireless audio playback from compatible devices.

This combination of analog and digital inputs gives the RPX-B480 flexibility when integrating with different source configurations.

Compact and Expandable DSP Solution

With dimensions of 167 × 117 × 43 mm, the RPX-B480 combines DSP processing and Class AB amplification within a compact chassis.

For a straightforward installation, its four integrated amplifier channels can drive the speaker system directly. If the system is expanded later, the processed low-level outputs can be connected to external amplifiers without changing the core DSP platform.
